- Use the fixation patch to help keep the sensor secure. Medical adhesive patches may be used if extra hold is needed.
- Clean and dry the application area. Wait 2–3 minutes before attaching the sensor.
- Keep the skin flat during application for a better fit.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, prolonged swimming or diving, and long baths or showers.
- Avoid bumping or rubbing the sensor against doors, walls, or clothing.
- Do not rub the sensor with a towel while bathing.
- Avoid sleeping directly on the sensor.
- Friction or pressure may cause slight sensor movement and temporary data fluctuations.

Where and how should I apply the sensor for best results?
Apply the sensor to the back of your upper arm, choosing a clean, flat area that does not bend often during daily movement. Avoid scars, tattoos, moles, stretch marks, skin folds, or irritated skin.
Before applying, wash the area with soap and water, dry it thoroughly, then wipe it with alcohol and allow it to air-dry completely. Avoid lotions or oils, and rotate application sites between sensors to help protect your skin.

How long can I wear the sensor and what might affect its lifespan?
Each sensor is designed to last up to 14 days. However, heavy sweating, intense exercise, or improper skin preparation can cause the sensor to loosen prematurely. If the sensor becomes detached or the tip comes out of the skin, discard it and apply a new one.
Is the sensor waterproof, and what activities are allowed?
Yes. The sensor has an IP38 water resistance rating, meaning it can be submerged up to 1 meter for up to 1 hour. You can wear it while showering or swimming but avoid direct high-pressure water and prolonged submersion.
What should I do if pairing fails or the app can’t detect the sensor?
First, ensure Bluetooth is turned on and your phone is within 10 meters of the sensor with no major obstacles. If pairing still fails, restart the app and try again. If the issue persists, contact us at support@sibiosensor.com
Can I view or export historical ketone data?
Yes. Historical data is displayed in the app. If your app version supports data export, you can find this option in the “My Sensors” section under “Data Details.”
